DNAinfo published a story today about Pub Royale, a new bar that replaces SmallBar at 2049 W. Division St. and opens Thursday. 
On Twitter, I put out a call for help with understanding craft beer in general and got a reply from Sean Mullen, or @SeanofChi.
Without telling him whose beer list it is (cicerone’s Ria Neri, for the curious), we wondered if Mullen, a four-year resident of Wicker Park, could look it over and gleam any significant information.
“Whoever’s list this is, its spectacular. “Wow.” Covers all your beer bases, from ciders to stouts, passing IPA’s, wheats and ryes along the way among others. This is a smart team who put a lot of thought into this. Definitely not a beer list for the faint hearted,” Mullen wrote back.
Mullen works in sales for a financial technology firm and through his job has traveled all over Europe South America and the United States.
“I take advantage of that when on the road, when you get an Anchor Steam in San Francisco, a Sweet Water in Atlanta (an IPA from the makers of an extra pale ale called 420, named for the Expressway that goes into Atlanta) or a Brooklyn lager out of New York.
