In case you’re already thinking about what to do after work tonight, here’s two events of note:
Floyd’s Pub, 1944 N. Oakley St. (at Armitage) is one of just three city pubs tapped to debut “Johnny Quests Thinks We’re Sellouts,” a new IPA from not-yet-open Lakeview Brewery DryHop tonight. Floyd’s hours are 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. Read all about it in this DNAinfo Chicago story by Serena Dai! Fun fact: Floyd’s Pub earned Chicago landmark status for its ties to a Milwaukee brewer. The ‘tied Schlitz house’ was built in 1898 and once exclusively sold Schlitz beer.
Ready to party? It’s a big week for holiday parties, so get your best dress on and start the gala-hopping at Hot Chocolate, 1747 N. Damen, where the Bucktown Community Organization will host its annual party and silent auction featuring donated items from Bucktown shops. The $75/person ticket includes a special menu by chef Mindy Segal and custom cocktails.
